What type of foundation is required for a metal building?

Pier and beam or concrete slab foundations may be employed. However, we strongly recommend that all building foundations be designed by an experienced local foundation engineer. This engineer can also recommend excavation procedures, drainage practices, form work, reinforcing steel requirements and concrete proportioning.
